Nutravet launches purée to boost plaque and tartar control for cats

NUTRAVET, a leading provider of veterinary strength health products, has launched its latest innovation for animal dental care.

Nutraplaque purée for cats is designed to support daily oral hygiene by helping to reduce and control plaque, soften and control tartar, and freshen breath.

February is Pet Dental Health Month, an annual reminder of the importance of oral care for animals at every stage of life.

And dental disease is one of the most widespread health concerns for cats and dogs, with around 70% of cats and 80% of dogs showing signs of dental disease by three years of age.

This includes plaque, tartar and gum issues that can lead to discomfort and further health issues if left untreated.

Nutraplaque includes a unique ingredient – North Atlantic seaweed - and tackles oral health systemically, meaning it works throughout the body, not just on the surface of the teeth.

It is designed to offer a stress-free administration while being highly palatable, encouraging cats to lick voluntarily.

Regular use alongside teeth brushing helps to maintain dental health and fresher breath, with users typically see improvements in plaque, tartar and bad breath within three to eight weeks of continuous use.

Lianne O’Boyle, clinical lead at Nutravet, said: “We are delighted to expand our range with a product that addresses one of the most common health concerns in pets – oral health.

"The new Nutraplaque purée combines efficacy with a new innovative purée format to increase compliance for cats - making it simple for pet owners to support their pet’s oral health every day, without stress or resistance.”

Nutravet has long been recognised for delivering innovative and high-quality health solutions for pets.

The addition of Nutraplaque purée strengthens the company’s commitment to comprehensive pet wellness, providing veterinarians and pet owners with reliable, easy-to-use products that support pets’ wellbeing.
