New range of surgical suits launched in breed specific sizing

THE owner of Sausage Dog Box has launched a new company called BreedFit by Surgery Suit, which creates post op recovery wear and compatible absorbent pads for pets in tailored breed-specific sizing.

The innovative GOTS-certified organic cotton and OEKO-TEX Bamboo recovery garments are non-toxic and hypoallergenic to cater for pets with sensitive skin.

Meanwhile, the bamboo-derived fibres promote breathability and antimicrobial and have been designed to cater for more than 100 dog breeds in breed specific sizing in the Rest Up Pup Collection.

There is also the Purrfect Recovery Collection, designed for cats and 26 breeds are catered for with specific sizing.

The surgical suits have been designed for recovery and have a flexible four-way stretch which allows unrestricted movement. The ergonomic shape and fit reduces rubbing, pressure points and hot spots to ensure enhanced comfort.

They come with an adjustable neck with built in safety flap which ensures secure positioning and added comfort, and an adaptable tummy band which allows for easy, mess-free toileting. In addition, there are also removable absorbent pads for added protection when needed, which are sold separately.

Owner Jade Hartwell said: “We are a nation of pet lovers, so when they have surgery, we want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible when it comes to recovery.

“While surgical suits are already on the market, we wanted to create a premium range that catered for every breed and fit to size, offered enhanced comfort and was designed in an easy-machine washable fabric which is responsibly produced to reduce environmental impact.”

The products are available direct to consumers, or vets will be able to sign up to create trade accounts on the SurgerySuit.com website. The trade accounts will offer wholesale pricing, the opportunity to purchase individual units, so there is no need to hold stock in surgeries, as well as free, next day tracked shipping.

There will also be bespoke bundle offers available and the opportunity to return any unpacked surgical suits or swap to other sizes if bulk orders are required.

The website has been designed so customers can shop by dog breed, breed group - which filters Kennel Club classifications, for example Gundog, Utility, as well as shop by body type, for example stocky, athletic, long and low.
