BURGESS Excel has launched two new premium feeding hays: Excel Long Stem Feeding Hay with Marigold 1kg and Excel Hedgerow Herbs Feeding Hay 2.7kg.
The new products reinforce the brand’s commitment to providing high quality, vet-recommended nutrition that keeps small pets healthy, while offering owners more choice and better value for money.
Sourced from trusted Yorkshire farms, every batch is hand-selected for quality and consistency.
Suzanne Moyes, Deputy Managing Director and In-house Vet at Burgess Pet Care, said: “For animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, hay should make up about 85–90% of their daily diet.

“These two new products respond directly to customer feedback, offering a larger size for convenience and the added botanical enrichment of marigold and hedgerow herbs, all while maintaining the premium quality Excel is known for.”
Developed by a team of vets and nutritionists, these products provide a range of wellbeing benefits for small animals.
Both products are dust-extracted to support respiratory health. Naturally high in fibre, hay aids healthy digestion and promotes dental health by encouraging natural chewing that helps wear down constantly growing teeth.
Burgess Excel Long Stem Feeding Hay with Marigold (RRP: £9.49) is an extension of the best-selling Long Stem line.
This SKU is made from the same high-quality hay as the existing Long Stem 1kg, one of the best-selling and most loved products in the portfolio but is now enhanced with the addition of marigold, which encourages foraging behaviour in rabbits and is a source of antioxidants.
The Excel Hedgerow Herbs Feeding Hay 2.7kg (RRP £17.50) meets shopper demand for value, convenience, and bulk-buy options. The meadow hay blend features hedgerow herbs including Chamomile, Dandelion, Nettle, and Mallow flower, encouraging natural foraging behaviour to support mental stimulation and welfare.
Both new products will be available to purchase via leading pet specialists and wholesalers.
